What's Provided by Ci2Training
We provide poo bags, water, towels (to dry your dog off after walks), leads and treats for each dog. We encourage owners to have towels placed by the door to better ensure the dogs are clean and dry before being brought back into the house.
What Customers provide
Any equipment such as collars, ID tags, enrichments, substrate (for our pet sitting service), harnesses and muzzles must be provided, sized and fitted correctly, as well as jumpers and jackets. If your dog requires a muzzle, it must be fitted before entering the vehicle and will remain equipped for the duration of our service. If we see your dog may be a potential hazard and therefore should be muzzled, we will bring this to your attention. If you do not agree and refuse our suggestion to provide a muzzle for your dog, all future walks may be cancelled until the issue is resolved. We provide dog training which includes helping your dog get used to wearing muzzles. These procedures are implemented to ensure the safety of all dogs, ourselves and third parties.

This information is crucial! Not only for preventive and safety measures, but also to adapt your dog's walks accordingly.

Legalities
ID Tags
Due to dogs being unpredictable, we ask that all dogs under our care be equipped with an updated microchip, ID tag and durable collars. Providing the dog with the safety and security of being located and returned to their rightful owner incase of an emergency.
Control of Dogs Order 1992 informs that all dogs are legally required to possess an updated ID tag and collar while out in public. ID tags Must provide the following:
Failure to give your dog a suitable identification tag is punishable by law and could result in up to a £5,000 fine if not provided. This law (Control of dogs order 1992) states that all dogs, while in public or transport, must be provided with proper identification tags and collars. Microchipped
Owners are legally responsible for the requirement of having their dog microchipped when they reach 8 weeks of age. Failure to do so results in up to a fine of £5000. This is in place to prevent the increase of strays and helps to reunite lost pets with their owners. We refuse to work with your dog if they are not microchipped. Click here for more information about the legal requirement for microchipping your dog.
The Control of Dogs Order 1992
Referenced from UK Dog Tag Law website- “any dog in a public place must have the name and address of their owner inscribed on a collar, tag or other identification material. Any owner allowing their dog to be in a public place without this information is in breach of the law under the Animal Health Act of 1981.” and “If a dog is found without identification, the law states that it can be seized and treated as a ‘stray dog’.” with a heavy fine as punishment.
Road Traffic Act (1988)
Under the Road Traffic Act (1988), it is stated that a dog must be on lead while around roads at all times. Because of this, we urge you to ensure your dog is comfortable with being on lead for our dog walking service. We provide optional dog training sessions to help put this in place. This is vital for our services as it ensures your dog is not a danger to itself or others. It is important that you first provided us with the basics of dogs' health, wellbeing and behaviour in the consultation form at the start. If you fail to ensure your dog is properly trained on lead, we are not required to walk your dog. For further information on Road Traffic Act (1988), please click here.
Dangerous Dogs Act (1991)
Through the Dangerous Dogs Act law, we won't be providing our pack walks or pet sitting services to UK banned breeds. If your dog is correctly registered under the act we will ask for you to provide us with important documentation of evidence such as bite record and if the dog is prone to aggressive behaviours. Dogs under the dangerous dogs act are required to wear a muzzle at all times while on walks. Under the correct circumstance, we will provide solo walks in less busy locations and training. A fitted muzzle must be on at all times to provide safety and as a preventive measure. For further information upon the Dangerous Dogs Act (1991), please click here.
Animal Welfare Act (2006)
Under the laws of the Animal Welfare Act, we are legally binded to ensure your dog is provided with safety measures and preventive procedures through the five freedoms;

Vaccinations
It is a legal requirement for dogs to have the rabies vaccine whilst travelling to and from the UK. We do ask all dogs under our care to be preferably up-to-date with their vaccinations. This is to ensure not only the safety of your beloved pet but also provides safety to all other pets they may come in contact with. If your dog can not be vaccinated for any reason, please email us with these details at ci2traninginfo@gmail.com and we will ensure it is properly recorded and kept in mind while providing our services to your pet. For more information on vaccinations for dogs, please click here.
The Highway Code
Under section 57 of the Highway Code, it states the legality of suitable restraint during transportation. To ensure safety during travel, dogs may be clipped to a travel divider at the back of the vehicle. If your dog suffers with car/motion sickness and requires special arrangement for travel, it can be mentioned in the consultation form at the start for arrangements to be met. Medication
During our pet sitting services, any prescribed medication from a veterinarian must be mentioned in the consultation form before agreement of service. Evidence must be shown with clear instructions. If confident and comfortable with applying the tropical (on skin treatment- e.g spot on) and or oral (in through the mouth treatment- e.g tablets), we will provide treatment to the animal. However, if unable to provide the medication for safety reasons for both person and animal, for example, if the animal becomes stressed, aggressive or feels threatened, we are not liable.
Preventative Measures
Ci2Training have preventive measures in place for safety purposes and we are fully insured. Preventive measures include safety equipment, flexibility of solo or group walks, carrying pet behavioural spray on us at all times (aerosol sounding condensed air), not walking dogs in season, locations etc.. We are certified in Pet First Aid with two first aid kits on scene, a basic one attached to our dog walking bags and a main one in our business vehicle.
Liabilities
All animals are unpredictable and therefore we have protocols in place under circumstantial situations resulting in injuries and/or death. Due to safety of Ci2Training staff, third parties and other animals, we are not liable for actions under;
- Wedding Dog Chaperone
We are not liable for injuries and or damage the dog may cause whilst off lead. Whilst in or care, they will remain on lead until asked otherwise.
Procedures
In the event of a safety breach, we will refer back to the listed veterinarian the dog is registered with (written in the consultation form) and call the owner to update them on the situation as soon as possible. In regards to our dog walking service, the decision to drop the dog off home or to the vets will be our judgement call with the main factors on responsiveness and condition of the dog.
Depending on the level of circumstance, other dogs in a group walk will be dropped off before or after dropping off injured dog home or to the vets. Owners will be notified of any changes as soon as possible. We have a travelling hammock that covers the back seats of our vehicle that the injured dog can lay on, separating and providing space from the other dogs. Safety is our number one priority and no dogs will be left alone. The driver will stay in the vehicle whilst the other member of staff will run in to get help from a vet to transport the dog into the building if necessary.
We will attempt to reach you via phone call in emergencies for your judgement of approach. If we are unable to do so, we will see the best intention to get the animal to the vets as soon as possible, leaving you a message of the situation. If we are unable to get the animale to the vets for any reason (size of animale, safety reason- if dog becomes aggressive ect…), we will call the vets for advice to help guide us through the situation the best we can.
In the event of emergencies and or injuries, the training session will be cut short. We have a First Aid Kit in the vehicle to help provide assistance. We are not liable for any injuries or damage during a lesson as a result of the dog's behaviour, inside and outside of the home and property.
